Ginny Monk covers children's issues and housing with a particular focus on education across Connecticut for Connecticut Mirror, which she joined in March 2022. She's a native of Arkansas and previously worked on the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette investigations team covering housing and child welfare. She was a 2019 Center for Health Journalism Data Fellow. She started her career at the Democrat-Gazette working on the Style desk and shifted to the projects team. She attended the University of Arkansas and received a bachelor's degree in journalism.
